Fundraising on the Desert Duel 2013 – Dubbo -> Parkes

This year we can report that as at 30th June 2013 the Desert Duel as distributed over $40,000 to 21 different recipients with nominations coming from Dubbo, Hay, Balranald, Taree, Forbes, Canowindra, Cowra and of course “Halo” from Homebush Pub plus the city as well.
We purchased new wheelchairs, special ankle orthotics, safety gear for disabled sailors & IT equipment (touch talker) as well as providing funding for respite care and equipment for 5 athletes through Wheelchairs Sports NSW.
Future Information Technology is proud to be involved with such a great charity, not to mention an amaxing bunch of people.

Sharon Peaty was proud to attend her 8th annual Desert Duel, travelling through the outback raising much needed funds for Paralympians and other Australian’s with disabilities.

 

 

Last year saw us receive funds for our personal nominee, ex-paralympian Shanon Bates.
